To celebrate and share the expertise of our new and established Professors, we invite you to attend Bath Spa’s new Professorial Lecture Series. Each lecture is free and open to everyone – staff, students and members of the public. 

Professor Anita Taylor, Dean of Bath School of Art and Design
Interrogating Appearances: Drawing and Understanding

Anita Taylor will speak about the role of drawing within her practice as a painter, and the prestigious national Jerwood Drawing Prize project of which she is founding Director (1994). Drawing is seen as a fundamental discipline for creative development, used both as a means to encounter and examine the world, and as a departure point for the understanding and identification of content or to explore a particular subject or experience.
