Anita Taylor will speak about the role of drawing within her practice as a painter, and the prestigious national Jerwood Drawing Prize project of which she is founding Director (1994). Drawing is seen as a fundamental discipline for creative development, used both as a means to encounter and examine the world, and as a departure point for the understanding and identification of content or to explore a particular subject or experience.
